Evidently, Ann Marie Linscott, is not one to keep evil intentions private. The Grand Rapids (Michigan) resident openly advertized on Craiglist, a popular online site featuring classified ads, for a hit man to murder a woman with whose husband she was having an affair. She offered the successful candidate, described as “silent assassins,” $5,000 for the killing, and listed the name and address of the intended victim. FBI agents who made the arrest were dumbstruck by the ad. Linscott is serving 12 years and 7 months for her openly advertized murderous intentions. The Law had the last laugh when a suspect, appearing in court on suspicion of carrying a concealed firearm, handed the jacket he was wearing to the judge for inspection to prove his innocence. Unfortunately for him, and to the hysterical delight of the prosecutor and judge, suspect Christopher Jansen (a Michigan resident) neglected to remove a packet from his jacket pocket prior to handing it over for inspection. It took a while for the honorable judge to recompose himself and continue with proceedings. Driving around under the influence of alcohol, and several other illegal substances, in a police station parking lot, and doing it from the passenger seat of the car (!), is one of the dumbest things Walter Bodi had ever done. When amused and puzzled Port Clinton, Ohio Police Department officers questioned the intoxicated one about his shenanigans on their property, he claimed he was just looking for a shady spot to park his car – while in the passenger seat – at 9 o’clock in the evening! Results of a breathalyser test showed Brodi’s blood alcohol content was 3 times above the legal limit.
