You might believe that there hasn’t been much of a change between what we looked now and 100 years ago, but photographs don’t lie. The U.S. had taken in people from all over the world a century ago. In the years of 1905 to 1914, Augustus Sherman had taken photographs of everyone arriving in America through the port at Ellis Island. The portraits he took give us a glimpse into how many different ethnicities were arriving in the United States.
